History
For nearly 70 years, the 杏巴原创; Industry of Hawai鈥榠 has stood up for local businesses while promoting Japanese values.
In June 1950, the Hilo Civic Association and the Hilo Japanese Chamber of Commerce, which had similar intent, functions and overlapping membership, merged to form JCCIH. The newly formed Chamber boasted 353 members. Our members range from mom-and-pop shops, professional service offices, eateries, banking and automotive businesses, utilities, distributors, educational institutions and human service agencies. They count on JCCIH to be their voice before the Hawai鈥榠 County Council and at the State Capitol, as well as keep them informed about civic and business matters.
